Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives
  • Generating and qualifying new leads
  • Developing and maintaining existing customer relationships
  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Working with the Marketing function on social media posts, case studies and press releases
  • Engage current clients to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Work closely with other teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps and use case opportunities through direct account engagement
  • Schedule appointments and demos
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Development as a Service (DaaS) & Consultancy offerings
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Maintaining prospect and client details in the Xperate CRM system
  • Promoting the Xperate Marketplace products and services
  • Delivering quality customer service
  • Communicating with all levels of the organisation

Technical Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Degree level or with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed and office based team
  • Capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to the value that can be provided
  • Strong and professional communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving  goals from the assigned territory or set of accounts
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts with initiative and brings new ideas to the company
  • Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of teams without necessarily taking the lead
