As a business headquartered in Winchester, we're committed to becoming an active part of the local business and wider community. Supporting organisations that make a positive difference was a natural place to start, and Winchester Rugby Club stood out immediately.
Over recent months, we've had the opportunity to learn more about the club and see first-hand the fantastic work being done both on and off the pitch. From nurturing young players through the junior sections, to supporting thriving women's teams and creating a welcoming environment for families, volunteers and supporters, the club plays a vital role in bringing the local community together.
For Xperate's co-founders, Mark Garnish and Simon Hill, the partnership is particularly meaningful. Both are lifelong rugby enthusiasts, and Simon has a personal connection to the club, with his son having played at Winchester Rugby Club during his younger years.
"Rugby clubs are often at the heart of their communities," said Simon Hill, CEO and Co-Founder. "When we saw the incredible work Winchester Rugby Club is doing for players of all ages, their families and the wider community, we wanted to find a way to give something back and play a small part in supporting that success."
As part of the sponsorship, visitors to the club will see Xperate branding displayed on advertising boards around the ground throughout the season. We're also excited to be sponsoring the Number 15 shirt, worn by Thomas Hare, and look forward to supporting him and the team during the season ahead.
In addition, we're launching an annual Xperate Sponsored Match Day, bringing together clients, colleagues, partners and members of the local community to enjoy a great day of grassroots rugby and celebrate everything that makes the sport so special.
For us, this partnership is about more than sponsorship. It's about investing in the community where our business has grown, supporting grassroots sport and helping organisations that create opportunities for people to connect, develop and thrive.
We're looking forward to spending more time at the club over the coming years, supporting the players, celebrating the volunteers and cheering on the Winch from the sidelines.
