Today is a special day for our team in Pune, India, as they celebrate Gudi Padwa, a significant spring festival that marks the beginning of the New Year in the Hindu calendar. Celebrated predominantly by Marathi and Konkani communities, Gudi Padwa symbolises new beginnings, prosperity, good fortune, and the arrival of the spring season. The festival is widely recognised across Maharashtra and other parts of India, bringing families, friends, and communities together to celebrate with joy and optimism for the year ahead.
Traditionally, Gudi Padwa is observed by raising a decorative Gudi outside homes, creating colourful rangoli floor art, enjoying festive foods, and taking part in cultural events and processions. The festival is an opportunity to reflect on achievements, express gratitude, and welcome fresh opportunities. It is a celebration that highlights the importance of community, heritage, and togetherness, values that are equally important within our own organisation.
This year’s celebrations were particularly meaningful for our Pune team, as the occasion also coincided with the one-year anniversary of moving into their new office. To mark both milestones, the team came together for a special Pooja, a traditional act of worship that is often performed to seek blessings, positivity, and success for the future. The gathering provided an opportunity for colleagues to celebrate their shared achievements and recognise how far the team has come over the past year.
Over the last twelve months, the Pune office has continued to play an important role in supporting clients, driving innovation, and contributing to the continued growth of Xperate. Celebrating Gudi Padwa together was therefore not only a recognition of an important cultural festival but also a chance to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the team.
