Xperate is pleased to welcome Mark Harman to their team as their Operations Manager. With over 25 years of experience in the Legal IT sector, Mark’s skills and expertise will take Xperate’s operations to new heights.
Mark’s Journey to Xperate
Mark's journey in the legal industry began in April 1999 when he joined a law firm as an office junior within the Accounts department. Little did he know that this would be the start of a remarkable career path in private practice, culminating in becoming Operations Director. Over the years, Mark has accumulated an impressive array of experiences and achievements. He has had oversight on many different projects across a range of technology and IT companies. Prior to joining Xperate, Mark was responsible for project managing over 50 PMS implementations.
Experience and achievements
Mark has played a crucial role in developing internal case management systems, including specific department workflows, compliance, billing, time recording, and client and prospect database management. Here are just a few examples of Mark’s achievements over the course of his career.
- As ICT Manager for a law firm, he led the planning and implementation of large-scale, firm-wide ICT infrastructure replacements and led the move to a heavily virtualised environment.
- Mark took on the role of Head of Operations for a new part of the business, overseeing a total branding project, migration to new hosted IT, and creating and overseeing the accounts function and management accounting.
- Mark procured and implemented a move to a new Case Management system which led to his transition to become a Technical Consultant. Here, he designed, planned, and delivered bespoke solutions for Mid-Market clients, leveraging multiple technologies such as P4W's Case Management, Partner TaskCentre, SQL scripting, and XAML/Ironpython development.
So far, Mark’s career is a testament to his adaptability, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence in the legal industry.
Outside of Work
Away from the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and has recently developed a passion for renovations and DIY projects.
